Who this course is for

Electricians, electrical technicians and engineers with experience of electrical installations and associated inspection and testing. 

Gas and oil-fired domestic heating course content

Participants will cover:

• Regulatory requirements and guidance for energy-efficient standards for gas and oil-fired heating appliances connected to ‘wet’ heating circuits. 
• Minimum boiler efficiency standards for gas and oil-fired appliances connected to ‘wet’ heating circuits.
• Requirements relating to space heating primary circuits type and design for gas and oil-fired heating ‘wet’ heating systems, and relating to hot water system type and design for gas and oil-fired systems.
• Requirements relating to the preparation and water treatment of hot water systems and wet central heating systems, and to the commissioning of hot water and wet central heating systems.
• Minimum standards for the control of gas and oil-fired wet central heating systems, and for the insulation of pipework for gas and oil-fired wet central heating and hot water storage systems.
• Requirements relating to standalone, glandless heating system circulators.

Course requirements 

Applicants should be working within the electrical industry – ideally holding a formal Level 3 electrical qualification. You must hold a current BS7671 qualification.
